A must visit destination for any seafood lover. You know a restaurant is good when they're completely full from the moment they open to the final minutes of their closing. The service is exceptional and the ambiance is great. The restaurant sits on a lakefront estate with beautiful views so I recommend coming early just to walk around and enjoy the grounds before going into the restaurant. The food is amazingly fresh and everything was so good, from the lobsters to the prime rib to the multitudes of desserts they offer. Prices are expectedly high ($130 for adults), but honestly it was worth the splurge imo.

For our anniversary my fiancé decide to take me to The Nordic. This has been a bucket list item for me forever! We went on a Sunday made a reservation for 2pm and prepaid. We got an email a few days before stating we could come earlier like 1:30pm as they were anticipating a busy 2pm. We weren't sure how beach traffic was gonna be heading up so left a little early. We arrived just when they opened and they were able to seat us at 1pm. We opted to sit on the side with the view which was nice to not be in the buffet room. Our server Hannah was great. Explained everything to us. Made sure we had refills and emptied our table bowl frequently. I ended up having 3 lobsters, king crab, fried seafood and prime rib. Everything was great. I chose not to have any carbs really so I could focus on the good stuff. Dessert here was great too. We had an awesome time. It was such a treat.

Really great spot for all you can eat seafood! You will usually have to wait a while unless you come right when they open. You'll also want to drive or rent a car to get to the Nordic because they are in a remote area and Ubers may not reach you when you want to leave. Staff are all very friendly. Make sure to come within a week before or after your birthday to get a birthday gift at the souvenir counter! They have whole lobsters for you to eat and crab legs. That's a small raw bar of clams and oysters and some cold appetizers. There's also a lot of hot food options as well as steak and chicken nuggets. Everything is very good and I highly recommend coming to check it out!

Craving a culinary adventure under the sea? Look no further than The Nordic, a haven for seafood lovers. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by an atmosphere that perfectly complemented the exquisite spread. The first thing that struck me was the sheer variety and quality of the seafood on display. Lobster, crab legs, shrimps, oysters, prime ribs, filet mignon, and an enticing selection of sea, side and dessert items- all impeccably fresh and beautifully presented. The buffet wasn't just about quantity; it was a feast for the eyes and the stomach. Also, the portions were thoughtfully sized, allowing you to try a little bit of everything without feeling overwhelmed. Every bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality. The seafood tasted like it had just been plucked from the ocean and cooked to perfection. It was freshness you can taste. The staff at The Nordic is another star of the show. Attentive and friendly, they were always there to answer questions, replenish dishes, and ensure a smooth dining experience. One of the things I truly appreciate about The Nordic is the efficient service. The lines at the buffet moved quickly, so I didn't have to spend ages waiting to fill my plate considering the maximum dining time allowed is 2 hours. This allowed me to relax, savor the food, and enjoy the company of my fellow diners. The cleanliness of the restaurant was another big plus. From the tabletops to the well-maintained buffet stations, everything was impeccably clean. This added to the overall enjoyment of the meal, creating a comfortable and hygienic environment. In conclusion, The Nordic is a top-notch seafood buffet that offers an exceptional dining experience. From the high-quality, fresh ingredients to the attentive staff and the clean ambiance, everything comes together to create a truly unforgettable meal. Whether you're a seasoned seafood enthusiast or simply looking for a delicious and satisfying dining experience, The Nordic is a must-visit.

There is nothing ANYONE can say to me that will change my opinion about The Nordic. I've gone now 4-5 times since discovering it and every time I am truly left amazed and FULL! From the moment you walk in you are instantly greeted with kindness until the moment you leave. Adult beverages are always available to purchase and they are so YUMMY! This is a beautiful gem and I will continue my new profound yearly feast! See you soon!

We planned an entire long weekend trip just to eat at this buffet. We flew 2 hours from Nashville with eager hopes to drown our southern mid life bodies with copious amounts of lobster and butter. Upon arriving we were greeted and waited a modest amount of time where we enjoyed the grounds and comfortably could have enjoyed an adult beverage. The property is New England charm at its best. Nestled between woods and the ocean, the gardens and animals give a relaxed vibe for all to enjoy. As we were seated at table, I was sad to see that the dining room was carpeted (just a personal ick for buffet restaurants). Our waiter was charming, quick, and witty. Truly, he was a pleasure and I loved his personality. Now onto the actual buffet. As you can imagine, it was bustling with a hundred or more people all who came to beat me on our unacknowledged but understood lobster eating competition. But unbeknownst to my rival diners, I have traveled 1042 miles to desecrate my tiny table with lobster remains. I was well prepared, having skipped my ozympic just for this adventure. I hadn't eaten all day. I was starving. One lobster went down like uncle Charlie on a soapy slip n slide. Two was nothing. Thirty minutes in and I was on my third lobster while my spouse worked on his fourth. Sure we enjoyed a few crab legs, a couple of bites of prime rib, but let's not kid, we came for the delicious crustaceans that promised sweet sweet indulgence and so I continued. I managed to wrangle four whole lobsters. Cleaning them of the unexpected tomalley, clearly I had not done my research and my land legs were running slower on my way to the buffet. Cookies, cakes, rich cheesecakes, icecream, it was my hormones wildest dreams to wrap up my feast. Leaving with many corpses dismantled by my tiny paws, I felt I had sufficiently allocated my calories for the rest of the year and returned to my ole Kentucky home for hibernation.

If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would! Really fabulous all you can eat buffet, with tons of dining room seating, amazing service and the largest selection of foods that I've ever seen in a buffet! The staff is all so unbelievably friendly and kind, helping you when you need it, so attentive and checking in to make sure you have what you need. We absolutely loved the selection of fresh, local seafood and the grill room with prime rib cooked to our taste. The bonus feature is the beautiful property and their new lakeside restaurant with live music on the water. Love it here and can't wait to go back!!

Plan your trip accordingly, they only open 3 days a week on weekends in the summer. Top notch quality of food, service is superb. The indoor reminds you of a good old steak house but the outdoor ambiance is unmatched! It's right by the lake with beautiful views. Outdoor seating areas all around the property with fireplaces, swing chairs and hammocks. Super cute farm animals for the kids to see, a horse ,sheep and even alpacas and mini donkey on top of kids area to play in . It's 3 hours outside of NY so you should make a day out of it. Oh don't forget to visit the store if you're visiting on your birthday week for a free gift . Highly recommend!

I'll echo the sentiment of the hundreds of reviews already available, the food, the service, and the beautiful grounds all make this one amazing food destination that everyone should try at least once. This was my first time here, and in full transparency, I'm not a seafood lover, so it never really made sense for me to visit before today. Today we came as a small group to celebrate a few birthdays, an anniversary, and Mother's Day the staff was friendly and efficient with getting us checked in and seated. It was very convenient to pay at the door before making our way to the dining room and the cashier let us know we could pay individually, in pairs, or as one larger group - it was easy to split the check the way we wanted! Each member of our group made their way through the various stations and everyone had their own personal strategy on where to start. Since I don't eat most types seafood I started in the grill room, where I got a grilled fillet, teriyaki sirloin tips, and a slice of prime rib, all on one plate! I just couldn't decide. I then tried a coffee shake that was made with Hagen Das ice cream and half and half - making the shake thick and creamy. I finished my meal with having a plate of fresh fruit, which ranged from berries to dragon fruit. The rest of my group piled their plates high with crab legs and lobsters and everyone enjoyed their meal. I was *slightly disapointed* that I didn't have room to try their salad bar or sundae bar because they both looked amazing and had so many options to choose from. The per person price ($135) isn't just for the food, it helps maintain the immaculate grounds and pay for the dozens of hardworking team members who make sure your visit is fun and memorable. The one thing I wish I would have asked about is what they do with all of their shells and food scrap waste. I wonder if it makes its way to a compost or farm because I've heard that lobster and crab shells are good for soil. One last thing to mention, if you're there celebrating a birthday, you can visit the merch shop next to the bar and receive a complimentary mug or wine glass to take home (as long as you are there within a week of your birthday, they check ID's to validate)
